When the temperature drops, the right workwear keeps your team comfortable, productive and safe. Whether your staff work on site, on the road or in a cold warehouse, here's how to build a winter uniform that works.
Start with layers
Layering is the most flexible way to stay warm. A breathable base layer such as a long sleeve t-shirt, a mid layer like a fleece or sweatshirt, and an outer jacket let staff add or remove layers as conditions change through the day.
Choose the right outer layer
- Softshell jackets: wind and shower resistant, flexible and smart enough for client-facing roles. Ideal for mild to cold days.
- Padded and puffer jackets: insulated warmth for cold, dry conditions and outdoor work with less movement.
- Waterproof jackets and rainsuits: essential for teams working outside in heavy rain.
- Parkas and coats: longer cut for extra coverage and warmth in the coldest weather.
- 3 in 1 jackets: a removable inner layer means one jacket can be worn all year round.
Don't forget the core
Bodywarmers and gilets keep the core warm while leaving arms free to move, making them popular with drivers, warehouse teams and tradespeople.
Stay visible in the dark
Shorter days mean more work in low light. If your team works near traffic or moving vehicles, make sure their outer layer is high visibility. Our range includes hi-vis jackets, hi-vis parkas, hi-vis softshells and hi-vis bodywarmers. For more on visibility classes, read our guide to hi-vis classes.
Add your logo
Winter jackets and fleeces are some of the most visible items your team wears, which makes them ideal for branding. Most outerwear can be embroidered on the chest or printed on the back. We email a free digital proof before anything is made, and there's no minimum order.
